Canine Sessions
Every dog is unique, and so is each Masterson Method® session. A standard appointment within 20 miles of Athens, GA is $65 and lasts for one hour. Sessions take place at your home. If I drive farther distances or a dog stays with me at my home for a longer evaluation travel and boarding fees will be added.
What to expect
Before your dog's first session I will ask you to read over and sign a standard consent form. I will also ask several questions pertaining to your dog's history and behavior. If possible, I also like to have assistance taking photos of your dog standing quietly and watching them walk and trot naturally.
The ideal space for me to work on a dog is in a small, quiet room that can be closed off. This gives the dog an opportunity to periodically get up, stretch, and walk around while also limiting the number of possible distractions present.
Follow up sessions do not require additional consent forms or case histories, but you will be asked whether there are any new physical or behavioral changes that you have noticed. I have found that completing at least three sessions in a row spaced 7-10 days apart seems to work best for dogs, but commiting to three sessions is not imperative.
If your dog has an injury or is uncomfortable always confirm with your veterinarian that bodywork is appropriate.
